New REPLACEMENT data Storage Tag model design

We are currently designing and fine tuning the development of a new DST model.

This new design will replace all our current G5 and G7 DST models.

Unfortunately our current DST models will not be returning to production.

Our Development Journey

  • Circuit design – completed

  • Macro boards – completed

  • Testing of macro boards  - Started – Issues encountered & resolved

Current development:

07th May 2025
We are pleased to share all Air Pressure tests have been completed and successful.

We are now starting to pot our electronic boards in resin (simulating a DST) to begin conducting wet dive pressure tests. We are running low on capable resin and due to a recent change in civil service (Uk Government) supplier procurement options, we are delayed in accessing goods from our usual suppliers. This is being resolved as fast as possible and steps are being taken to ensure this impact is a minimal as possible.

Recent Achievements:

·         Our New software has been completed and will be backwards compatible.
This software will be issued along side the new design and will be able to interact with the new design and older designs, increasing usability.

·         BOM (Bill of Materials) sent for industry checking.
Our list of components – BOM – has been sent off for industry review in order to ensure our desired components are not coming near to their end of life or have been made obsolete since we started. A quality assurance process.

·         Dimensions matched to older G5 standard and G5 Long life designs with no loss in specifications. This has stopped the need to redesign moulds, Tag floats and our drawing blueprints.

Specifications being achieved:
Our new design is reporting significantly greater memory capacity.

  • Standard battery design - increase from 2MB to 8MB memory fill.

  • Long Life battery design - increase from 24MB to 40MB memory fill minimum.

Pricing estimate:
Currently estimated at £350-£450 per Tag
This is subject to change and will be reviewed upon BOM sign off and initial manufacture ahead of release date.

Availability Timescale:

We are hopping to have our new design models ready to be pre-ordered by August 2025. Discussions are taking place to determine terms and conditions of sale of the New Tags without long term field testing
